Gardens & Tonic: Artistic Interpretations of Water Management

November 9, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

FREE

The need to manage how water moves through a landscape and the built environment has become painfully obvious in recent years. Bettering our avenues for water management is a practice that benefits wildlife, communities, and the surrounding environment. Creating aesthetically-pleasing solutions for stormwater management is not new, but have you ever considered it an artform? Meg Rossman, Assistant Horticulturist, will discuss the art of Jackie Brookner and their site-specific, water-focused landscapes. In addition, she will highlight several areas at the Arboretum that help us manage our rainwater.

Gardens & Tonic is a series of virtual webinars about plant-related topics, including adventures, stories, art, and garden design. Grab your favorite beverage and join us to explore the world of plants from a new perspective. Presentations are generally 30 to 45 minutes long and with time at the end for questions and answers.

Registration is free, but required to receive the Zoom webinar and recording links.
