Gardens and Tonic: Celebrating Scott Arboretum’s Trees
April 29, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join Julie Jenney to celebrate the fantastic trees of the Scott Arboretum on the eve of Arbor Day. After a brief history of the arboretum and virtual tour of some of her favorite campus scenes, Julie will highlight several of the arboretum’s most prized trees, collections, and gardens such as the Cherry Border and Metasequoia Allee. We will look at trees so close up we’ll see the intricate patterns of their bark and view them from afar to take in their majestic beauty. Whether you are new to the Scott Arboretum or have walked its paths hundreds of times, this presentation will bring a fresh perspective to what makes the Scott Arboretum so special.
Julie Jenney is the Educational Programs Coordinator for the Scott Arboretum and is passionate about trees!
