Posted at 21:49h, 21 FebruaryNice job presenting a great topic! My daughter, who is 9, suggested a green roof for her school, and put together a proposal for it as well. It took her quite a lot of work to find the information that you just presented here — all in one clear and concise place!
The upfront cost is, of course, what will keep her school from replacing their 50 year old roof with a green solution. And grants and financial assistance is only offered to urban locations and schools.
She’s been sold on the idea, and she is only in 4th grade. A wonderful location like yours, with tours, and nice web pages like this will certainly convince others as well!
Nice work! I hope to bring her there for a tour (maybe when visiting my alma mater 70 miles up the Delaware River).
