This spring, the Arboretum has collaborated with an alumna of Swarthmore College, and current Arts Administration Intern, Liza Clark, in a contemplative performance series of interpretive dance. Two performances have already taken place in the Pinetum and the Cherry Border. During the performance at the Pinetum, I was inspired by thinking of all the different ways people use the garden and what plants and garden spaces mean to different people.

Posted at 13:15h, 09 MayI saw the first performance in the Pinetum. The dancers were amazed by the sounds of their footsteps crackling among the dried pine needles. Things gardeners can take for granted are a new and pleasurable experience to others.
