Plant of the Week – July 12
The plant of the week is going digital. For many years now, the responsibility of the Scott Intern has been to feature a different plant every week in the Scott Arboretum offices. This display helped educate the intern about the plants in the garden as well as the visitor on what is looking good in our gardens right now.
As staff we have decided to make this educational tool available to potential visitors and Scott Arboretum fans everywhere by posting images of the plant of the week on our Garden Seeds blog. This feature will differ from the Plant of the Month because no detailed information will be provided about the plants; simply their name. The Plant of the Month will continue an in-depth discussion about the featured plant.
We invite you to take a moment and enjoy the Scott Arboretum’s summer bounty this week.

Posted at 22:15h, 18 JulyGreat addition to Garden Seeds!
Any chance you could have a parallel posting of the ‘Plants of the Week’ images on the Scott Arboretum website too? It would be a good bridge to the blog for those unfamiliar with it, and would mirror the experience of actually visiting the Scott offices with the plant of the week cuttings displayed on wall vases in the lobby.
Just a thought.

Posted at 08:00h, 20 JulyDear Drew, The most recent blog post already appears on the Scott Arboretum homepage. The search box on the Scott Arboretum website also searches the blog. We have removed the presence in the lobby for the web presence instead. Thank you for suggestions.
Sincerely,
Becky
