Virtual Family Arbor Day Celebration

FreeJoin Mandie Curtis Banks and Julie Jenney for family friendly tree fun in celebration of Arbor Day along with Swarthmore Rutledge Elementary School! This program will be geared towards kindergarten through fifth grade students to get them excited and learning about the wonderful world of woody plants and trees. Throughout the program there will be a sprinkling of some favorite big trees at the Scott Arboretum.
Registration is free but required.
Participants must have Zoom downloaded on their computer and be comfortable using it. The webinar link will be included in the confirmation email received after registering online.
Mandie Curtis Banks is the Youth, Family, and Diversity Programs Coordinator at the Scott Arboretum. She has had a career in the arts, education, and wellness fields for over 23 years has taught and directed performing arts and yoga classes in several local schools and organizations. Mandie currently serves as the choreographer at Strath Haven High School and previously held the position of Chair of the Theatre and Dance Department at the Episcopal Academy. Mandie holds a B.A. in Theatre from West Chester University, an Elementary Education Teaching Certificate from Moravian College, and yoga teacher certifications in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Children’s Mindfulness and Yoga.
Julie Jenney is the Educational Programs Coordinator for the Scott Arboretum and is passionate about trees!
